Hey, Hi, Hello!

I'm Liz, the owner of Socialize, LLC. 

​

I'll save you all the questions and just share all the deets on myself.

I grew up in Southwest Michigan (and I truly love it here). But eventually,

I left to go to college in Florida where I got my degree in Marketing. I was

immediately hired after school at Whirlpool Corp. where I was a Sales

Representative. After doing that for three years, I took a job as a marketing consultant at the local radio station: Mid-West Family Broadcasting. And then, I finally took the plunge and made my dream come true: being my own boss and running my own business.

And I am sure you are wondering, why Socialize?

​

I told you I have always wanted my own business. I was too afraid to just do it. But when I worked for the radio station, I talked to lots of different business owners, and everyone had the same thing in common: they just went for it. They were scared too, they weren't in the perfect position, they didn't have all the money, but they had a dream, and they just did it. It was so inspiring. So I dug deep, and I asked myself: "what does Southwest Michigan not have?" and "what am I good at?" Basically, where is their a void and how can I fill it? I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of social media to a business, and more importantly - I love helping small businesses. My dad has owned Eddy's Vacuums in Benton Harbor for over 40 years, so the little guys have a special place in my heart. So when I thought of this idea and how someone local really wasn't doing it, Socialize was born. 

 

That's about all you need to know. But here's some fun facts anyway:

• I love life! And I am a big proponent of making the most out of the one life you have.

• I'm a pretty happy and positive person, then just add a dash of sass and sarcasm, & I'm complete.

• I play and love beach volleyball. I'm also into lifting and all things health and fitness...except I love pizza, dessert, and a good martini. Okay actually, healthy eating isn't my favorite, but sometimes I do it until I get distracted by mac and cheese.

• I have never been accused of not having personality.

• I have been accused of being blunt - but that's a good thing if you want an honest opinion of your business (or your outfit), right?
